Don’t ignore someone just because they take out the trash

One of my many jobs in high school was working at a hotel run by my dad and his brother.  I would clean the pool, deliver things to rooms and sometimes take out the trash.  I usually took out the trash on the days when Jean, who usually did this job was off.  Some days, Jean and I worked together.  When we worked he would talk about music and his band at the time, Nuclear Rabbit.  There was a piano at the hotel and Jean would sometimes teach me how to play a few basic things, most of which I’ve forgotten (well except the theme from “The Transformers.”)

I’d forgotten about Jean until I stumbled across this clip of him and his eleven string bass. It is awesome. Listen.

Remember, just because someone is taking out the trash, doesn’t mean they don’t do something else as well.
