Stunts that work – ioSafe

I’ve written several times about how I’m a fan of PR stunts that work. Last January I wrote about local company ioSafe that lit their hard drive on fire at CES then recovered the data.

They are at it again.  This time they went a little bit further. I will defer to CrunchGear’s description, “Watch IoSafe set fire to a hard drive enclosure, spray it with a fire hose, drop it from 20 feet, and then drive over it with a backhoe. And then the drive works great.”

When you can include fire, a firehose and heavy machinery while showing how great your product is, you win.

Now, who wants to chip in to get their CEO Robb a lab coat?  C’mon, they’ve bootstrapped this great company!
