PR firms are great about creating ‘green practices,’ but what are the firms doing themselves to reduce their footprint? I’ve never been a huge believer in mailing tchotchkes to reporters, but it seems that many still are. The article asks a simple question, “…would it be so hard to send an e-mail and ask, “Hi, can we send you this package as a gift?”
My take is if you are going to send something unsolicited to a reporter, save the expensive packaging.
