RepMan: This has ‘lawyer’ written all over it
Steve Cody, of PepperCom, touches on a subject close to home here at Morgan/Dorado, the pain of RFP’s that are seemingly written by lawyers. We recently passed on the opportunity to pitch a piece of business because of the RFP. The RFP in our case was written specifically to cover the behind of the potential client and left no room for creativity or change. When working with early stage companies, the only constant is change, and the companies and their agencies need to be ready for this.
My advice, if you don’t like the RFP, you’re probably not going to like them as a client either.
