I’m an advisor to Chrometa. They are based here in Sacramento and make time tracking software to help people be more productive by accurately tracking their time spent on work tasks.
I don’t spend as much time with them as I should, but their CEO is doing an excellent job of becoming part of the community of their future users. Their tools are mostly used by small law firms and single attorney practices.
They have reached a point now where people are talking about them and are noticing that Chrometa has been adding features based on feedback from users. Want to see what that looks like?
Check out this article from Law Technology News, and if you are an attorney, check out their product.

Thanks Josh – as you know we wouldn’t trade our stellar PR advice for anything!
What’s been interesting is that we’ve found our market, which as you mention consists largely of solo practitioners and small firms, to be very receptive and excited about helping with product direction.
My hypothesis is that since these folks are quite entrepreneurial in their own right, they really dig what we’re doing and are quite happy to help a fellow small biz.
Small software co’s like us can get some nice traction catering to the “Fortune 1,000,000″, as one of the Co-Founders of 37 Signals once put it.
