These are two of many common sense tips from the ad:tech blog. The need to respect the space around you when discussing a sensitive topic is one that you would hope would be second nature to PR folks. It’s not. There have been way too many times when I’ve had to look directly at a colleague and gently shake my head and look around to try and get them to stop talking about something they shouldn’t be talking about in public. Whether it’s in an elevator, at a restaurant, or on a trade show floor, if you don’t want to see it in the Wall Street Journal, wait until you’re somewhere private before sharing.
